Zandvoort to Heidelberg

This morning we set off from beautiful sunny Zandvoort and we did a lot of motorway driving as we headed to from the Netherlands to Germany. As we got further into Germany we decided to get off the motorway and drive along or near the River Rhine. We stopped at a small historic town called Linz on the Rhein. It was lovely and full of old and crooked buildings like the one below.

There were lots of restaurants selling Schnitzel.

Some men in Lederhosen....

Today Dad nearly got us driven off the road twice! Aaaahhhhhh! Here he is recovering along the Rhine.

Some schloss/castle taken as we are driving along the Rhine.

A tower.

We arrived at Heidelberg in the evening and man did we love our apartment! This is some pictures of it the next morning.... (We even had our own key for the lift as it was on the top floor and no one else had access to it).

Dad relaxing....

My room upstairs...

The huge bathroom... Our next accommodation is going to be very basic in comparison to this!
